Biography
Adela Cmokova is PhD student in mycology with special interest in taxonomy, population genetics, epidemiology, and secondary metabolites production of dermatophytes. In her PhD thesis, she focuses in detail on the taxonomy and epidemiology of agents of zoonotic skin infections, especially species from Trichophyton benhamiae complex. She is collaborating on the description of novel antimicrobial compounds from various fungi including medical important species.
Adela has been working as a research scientist at the Czech Academy of Sciences. At the Charles University, she is supervising students focusing on medical mycology and secondary metabolites production in fungi.
