Biography
Alla A. Gaynullina is a research scientist in Laboratory of Mycology at the Federal Research Centre of Experimental Veterinary (VIEV) in Moscow, Russia. Her career in veterinary mycology began in 2004 at VGNKI Institute (Moscow, Russia), where she was focused mainly on zoonotic dermatophytic infections. Her main areas of research are the etiological diversity and prevalence of fungal infections in wild and captive animals, including exotic and cold-blooded animals. Her studies covered such emergent reptilian pathogens as Chrysosporium-related fungi and Ophidiomyces ophiodiicola. Alla is co-investigator in collaborative project with Moscow State Zoo on investigation of fungal infections in exotic animals.
