RAHUL SHARMA

Rahul Sharma is a mycologist with expertise on keratinophilic fungi. His interests are in the field of fungal systematic and phylogeny; exploration and conservation of geophilic keratinophilic fungi. He is working in the field of keratinophilc fungi including geophilic dermatophytes since last 2 decades and has described several new taxa including 5 new genera. Apart from Onygenalean forms, other group of fungi that he added in collaboration include hyphomycetes and mushrooms.
He is currently working as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Botany at Mata Gujri Mahila Mahavidyala (MG Womens’ College) in Jabalpur (India) where he teaches Botany to undergraduate and graduate students. He is Editor of the journal Mycopathologia and MycoAsia, section Keratinophilic Fungi in both cases.
