Silke Uhrlaß

Silke Uhrlaß works with focus on fungal diagnostics of human pathogenic fungi in a private medical laboratory under the direction of Pietro Nenoff and Constanze Krüger in Germany. Field of activity is the identification and evaluation of dermatophyte infections of routine samples by PCR and sequencing. Her main interest is the epidemiological investigation of the spread of dermatophytes. Studies were carried out for example on Trichophyon benhamiae, T. erinacei, T. quinckeanum, T. mentagrophytes and Microsporum ferrugineum.
