TRANSPORTATION

ARRIVAL BY PLANE TO VACLAV HAVEL AIRPORT

From the bus station at Vaclav Havel Airport Prague (Terminal 1 / Terminal 2) take a bus No. 119 direction to the terminal station Nádraží Veleslavín where you change to a direct tram No. 20 (interval every 10-20 mins) to Malostranské náměstí where you get off (duration 45 min).

ARRIVAL BY BUS TO MAIN BUS STATION FLORENC

Direct connection between the Florenc bus station is available between 6:45 am and 8:15 pm (interval every 15 mins): Bus line No. 194 – exit stop Valdštejnské náměstí or Malostranské náměstí (duration 18-19 mins).

ARRIVAL BY TRAIN TO PRAGUE MAIN STATION

Direct connection between the Main Train Station is available between 5:11 am and 11:51 pm (interval every 10-20 mins): Tram line No. 15 – exit stop Malostranské náměstí (duration 14 min).

ENTRY VISA

EU citizens do not require entry visa to the Czech Republic. For participants from other countries we recommend to check the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic. HERE you can find a list of countries which need entry visa to the Czech Republic.

INVITATION LETTER

A letter of invitation will be issued upon request to assist with visa application or participation requirements.

Food

We will provide two meal choices for lunch (both days) & dinner (10th Sept), a local non-vegetarian and vegetarian cuisine. Please select your choice during registration. We will also provide an exact composition of each meal on site. If you have any food allergies please check carefully each description.

Accommodation

The venue itself is located at Lesser town, a historic district close to many landmarks. We recommend to stay locally and rent an apartment (available e.g. via AirBnB or Booking.com). Please make sure to book in advance as Prague will be in high turistic demand in September.

Insurance

In registering for ONYGENALES 2020 Workshop, attendees agree that neither the organizers nor the congress center is responsible for individual medical, travel or personal insurance. Delegates are requested to make their own travel and health insurance.

CURRENCY / EXCHANGE

The currency unit in the Czech Republic is the Czech Koruna (CZK; = Czech crown or Czech krone). International credit cards are accepted for payments in most hotels, restaurants and shops. Exchange offices and ATM machines are easily available throughout the city and at the Vaclav Havel Airport Prague.

ELECTRICITY

Electricity in the Czech Republic is 230V, 50Hz AC. Outlets have the standard European socket (Europlug) with two small round holes and a protruding ground pin TYPE C or E. If you have a different plug, bring an adapter.
