Cristina Veríssimo

Master´s in Biology from the University of Lisbon, specialized in environmental and clinical mycology. Head of the Mycology Laboratory at the portuguese National Institute of Health. Author of several publications in the field of medical mycology and environmental health. Participated in several national and international projects. Coordinator of the national network for laboratory surveillance of invasive and subcutaneous fungal infections. Orientation of internships in mycology for specialization in infectious disease of medical students. Currently has ongoing projects in the area of molecular diagnosis and surveillance of fungal infections.
