Michaela Švarcová

Michaela Švarcová is a PhD student of microbiology at Charles University, specializing on mycology, particularly dermatophytes. Her master’s thesis and further scientific field was mainly focused on using a tool of non-thermal plasma. This tool was used for treatment of mycotic infections on animal model and also tinea corporis and onychomycosis in humans. Nowadays, her scientific interest includes taxonomy, population genetics and epidemiology of Trichophyton interdigitale/T. mentagrophytes complex.
